An open letter to Ghana national soccer team by Kofi A. Annan

"The lasting trophy to take away from the tournament is this incredible moment of unity. I wish we could preserve it and invoke it more broadly for the development and wellbeing of the continent. There is no reason why we should wait another four years for another moment of solidarity; we can draw upon what you have created, now.

Gulf of Mexico oil spill

The beauty and diversity of Prince William Sound is worth many times more than all the oil that will ever be drilled from Prudoe Bay. The same can be said for the oil leaking in the gulf of Mexico. The short term benefits of oil do not outweigh the long-term costs to nature.

Overgrad

This is a cover I did for my friend Michael Gemballa's book called Overgrad. It's a really good story dealing with the period after graduating college. I can personally relate to a lot of the situations in this book. Check it out on Amazon.com.

LA Marathon

My friend Chapu and I completed the 22nd Los Angeles Marathon on Sunday! It was probably one of the better experiences of my life and I hope to do it again next year. I finished in a respectable 4:47:33, but if it weren't for my calf muscle that pulled at mile 15, who knows what my time could have been.
